Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging; Staff Retention and Recruitment

This session will provide an overview of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Humility initiative being implemented at Mental Health Association (MHA) of Westchester. During the session, we will discuss equity and inclusion in hiring, interviewing, retention and promotion practices. Ideas around respecting diversity, mentorship, helping to develop a career and/or growth path for employees, and psychological safety/fostering an inclusive environment will be discussed. We will consider ways to develop inclusive and psychologically safe workplaces leading to a higher level of employee engagement, satisfaction, and longevity.
