Curriculum Council

Curriculum Council is a collaborative environment, where updates from NYSED and supporting resources are shared. The Council consists of central office administrators and school district leaders. The sessions provide a platform for highlighting best practices throughout our region and help administrators deepen their knowledge on a variety of topics.

Great Teachers and Leaders

Southern Westchester BOCES provides  turnkey training for NYSED initiatives.

 Our ongoing work includes:

Turnkey training based on the NYSED model is offered to assist principal evaluators and lead evaluators. Additional workshops are offered to support ongoing work with the APPR process. Courses for Lead Evaluators and Principal Evaluators are offered throughout the year.

Instructional Leadership Forums

Quarterly meetings are held for curriculum directors, department chairs/coordinators, and lead teachers in six subject areas (Fine and Performing Arts, English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Social Studies, World Languages/English as a New Language) to share professional learning on current needs and trends in education.
